Healing
Paid for by Jesus
Our healing has already been paid for by Jesus. He bore 39 stripes on His body, one for each category of sickness and disease. Jesus have already made a way for us. (Is. 53:5) What happens when we have a disease or sickness. What should we do? RECEIVE, is the word because our health has been already taken care of by the stripes of Jesus. We need to receive it the same way we received
forgiveness for our sins
by believing, asking and receiving. First, understand that God wants us to be well. It is not God’s will for us to be sick. Jesus went about teaching and preaching and obliterating ALL kinds of sickness and disease. (Matt. 4:23-24) We can receive by standing on the Word of God and praying for ourselves, and even laying hands on ourselves. The believer is told to lay hands on the sick. (Mark 16:18, Acts 9:17)
Have Others Pray for You
We may ask another believer to pray in agreement with us. Also, we are told to have the elders of the church anoint us with oil and pray for us. (James 5:14-16) Or the Holy Spirit gifts may operate to help us receive. (1 Cor. 12:9) Attend services where a ‘respected person’ has a ministry. Only let someone lay hands on you when you are sure they are a Christian and well respected in the church.
Be Washed In The Blood
Some things may keep us from receiving could be: unconfessed sin or continuing in known sin, bondage or oppression by the devil, fear or embarrassment, unbiblical teachings, unbelief or lack of faith, past experiences or disappointments. How do we walk past these problems to victory? Take care of all sin that the Holy Spirit has revealed to you. Repent and let the Lord wash you clean by
the blood of Jesus Christ
Keep your relationship with the Lord clean and pure. Spend time in prayer and in the presence of the Lord. Spend time in God’s written Word. Praying and studying the Word will give you the strength and faith to receive. Use a concordance to find scripture that specifically applies to your type of sickness. Use that scripture along with some of the general healing scriptures such as Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24, and Psalms 107:20. Hold these scripture up to God in prayer. Hold God accountable for His Word. God's Word does not return to Him void. He watches over His Word and brings it to pass.
Don't listen to satan
Don’t listen to satan’s lie that you are sick because something is wrong with you or that you are not good enough. Don’t listen to condemning, accusing voices. It is God’s will for you to be made whole through Jesus Christ. “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows… He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed.” (Is. 53:4-5)Speak the Word, pray the Word, live the Word. Ask the Lord, if there are any changes He wants you to make in your life. Realize that God can make you well through natural means, medical resources, as well as spiritual means. Talk to other believers who have received answers to their prayers. Read and listen to testimonies. Ask the elders of your church to anoint you with oil and pray the prayer of faith for you.
Be Persistant
It is important to be persistent in asking. Don’t be sucked in by the lie that because you prayed once and you don’t see the answer yet, that you don’t have enough faith or that God doesn’t love you or care about you. That is a lie straight from the pit of hell. God loves us; and He wants to answer our prayers, but we need to be persistent. Why else would He tell us to ask, seek and knock? Your healing is all paid for; receive it. Take your authority in prayer with
